What to bring to each game and practice:
- WATER - The fields do get warm and water is critical even when it is cold out!
- SOCCER BALLS - You need a ball for all practices!
- SHIN GUARDS - getting kicked in the shins really hurts.
- SHOES - Cleats are nice to have but not required at any level. Comfortable sneakers are a must though. Please see your specific age group section for more info.
- CLOTHING - Please dress appropriately for the weather. Soccer is played in the rain and the cold!
Who is eligible to participate in the Signature program?
- Boys and girls, Grade 3 or higher.
When will practices be held?
- The Signature Program will have one weeknight practice (typically M or W) with a professional trainer with our Soccer Super Stars Trainers. Each team also has the option for a second practice led by the parent coach.
On which days does Signature play games?
- Games will be played Saturdays or Sundays. Sometimes a weeknight is needed in the case of makeup games.
Where will the Signature games be played?
- Games will be played against other local surrounding communities both at home in Metuchen and at the opponent’s home field nearby. All games will be refereed by State certified referees.
Will uniforms be provided to the Signature Travel teams?
- All registered players will be provided complete uniform of jerseys, shorts and socks. The cost of the uniform is included in the registration fees.
How does the Signature Program differ from the Premier program?
- The Signature program is split into 2 separate seasons (fall and spring). Players have to register before each season to play and teams are reformed each season.
- The Premier program plays together as a team from the Fall thru the Spring. Their teams are static for the entire year, only adding players if needed.
- Signature games are managed by parent team managers while Premier games are managed by a Maestro trainer.
- The Signature Program offers more flexibility as players are only committed for one season. Premier players must commit to their teams for the entire year.
- To play on a Premier team, the player must be selected. While technically this can happen at any point of a player’s growth, it is typically done via open tryouts (held in the spring in advance of the upcoming fall season).
